Facebook Pentico Kin

O yes we have lots of kin on Facebook.  Some I am aware of how we connect some are farther down the tree and I am not sure of the descendancy.   It seems we are in almost if not every state including Alaska and Hawaii.

Pentico News My Families Direct Line from Phillip

  Posting here the bare bones of the line from John Penticoff ie Penticuff ie Pentico down to our home.

John Penticoff b abt 1800 in Pa  died 18 July  1857 Pleasant Valley, Scott, IA age 57

wife born New Hanover, Montgomery Co. PA Her father was Heinrich (Henry)Young (JUNG)

Catherine  b  1810   m April 1825 ? her death was 21 August 1886 Mound Praire, Jasper, Iowa

Pentico Family in the USA

After 50 years of research we have finally learned some neat facts about our surname.

 We find John Penticoff in Pa, b about 1800 we find him in Jersey Shores,Lycoming Co. then Clearfield County, after a marriage and children and name change.  

 We then find him in Iowa with the FF's removed.  Previously the ff's were used and not used and used and not used.
